One of the ways we achieve our mission is through our “Grocery To Go” service, a program designed to provide nutritious groceries to seniors in need. This program is a lifeline for many who may face challenges in accessing fresh and wholesome groceries.
Here’s how it works:
Registration
Applicants can easily sign up for Grocery To Go by contacting our Meals On Wheels team. We’ll match them with a volunteer to build a one-on-one relationship based on their geographic locations.
Customized Shopping
Once registered, dietary preferences, restrictions, and any special requests can be provided to our team. Our dedicated volunteers then compile a personalized grocery list based on these preferences.
Volunteer Shoppers
Our network of compassionate volunteers shop for the groceries. They carefully select items, ensuring freshness, quality, and observation of individual requirements.
Contactless Delivery
We offer safe and contactless delivery right to the recipient’s doorstep. They can expect a timely and friendly visit by a volunteer ready to also bring a smile and brighten their day.
How We Serve
We provide nutritious meals to people who are homebound and unable to shop or cook for themselves – because of age, disability or illness.
